Typical Bunny Grocery List

Many of this stuff would be great to buy on iherb, but I know most of you won't bother with the site XD. So, here's a list of my typical grocery list and the best places to buy them.

Grocery Key to get the best prices:

CSN = Kazun
O = Ozeki
KA = Kaldi
S = Seijo Ishi
D = Daiso

Fruits
-Apples
-Bananas (O, CSN on Thursdays)
-Oranges
-Pears
-Frozen Blueberries (CSN on Fridays)
-Frozen Strawberries (S)

That must have been the best pet ever.
Vegetables
-Cabbage
-Spinach
-Cucumber (O)
-Tomatoes (CSN)
-Avocado (CSN, O)
-Broccoli
-Cauliflower
-Carrots (CSN)
-Onions
-Frozen Green Beans (CSN on Fridays)
-Sprouts (CSN)
-Green Onions (CSN)
-Celery

About Sprouts: If you do buy sprouts, which add a great flavor and fancy crunch to your meal, be sure to wash them thoroughly. They are known to have carried traces of E. Coli in the past.

Protein
-Spinach
-Chicken (CSN)
-Eggs (CSN) 88 yen for a dozen on Sundays if you spend over 1000 yen)
-All Natural 100% Peanuts Peanut Butter (KA)
-Tofu (CSN)

About Tofu: I'm kind of iffy on Tofu right now. Because it is processed, I've decided not to add it to my diet. I'd like to do more research on it though. It's very cheap at Kazun: 35 yen for a whole block. This lasted me for 4 meals. It really is a great source of protein though. I cooked it just like my chicken, either in small blocks or in one big block.

Make Better Use of Your Sweet Potatoes

Carbohydrates
-Sweet Potatoes (CSN, O)

Bring out your inner chipmunk
Snacks
-Almonds (KA)

This is Why You Shouldn't Eat Hot Dogs

Condiments
-Mustard (KA)
-Flying Goose Sriracha Hot Sauce (KA)
-St. Daflour Jam Spread (KA, S)
-Honey (KA)

Note: You might be wondering "Where's the ketchup?!" Well, most ketchup adds a lot of sugar and high fructose corn syrup. If you can find a natural ketchup that has less sugar and eliminates the HFCS, then go for it if you need your ketchup ^__^.

Remember - Not Too Much Salt

Spices
-Black Pepper (S)
-Ground Cinnamon
-Salt (D)
-Tumeric (D)
-Garlic (D)
-Shichimi (七味唐辛子)

'Nuff Said

Chocolate
-Godiva Dark Chocolate Bar
-Lindt 70% Cocoa or more Dark Chocolate
-Cote d'Or 86% Noir
-Ghiradelli 70% Cocoa or more Dark Chocolate

Other Great Items to pick up but I don't due to personal preference:
-Mushrooms (CSN)
-Lettuce
-Pumpkin (CSN)
-Peppers

Pretty much any fruit or vegetable ^___^'

More Tips and/or Information
1) Buy in season fruit because they're cheaper. Right now, it seems like grapefruit and oranges are in season.
2) Kazun has an awesome discount bin, usually starting around 3 P.M. and they keep on adding stuff throughout the day. I get a lot of apples and green onions for cheaper here.
3) Remember to check to see if your grocery store has sale days for certain items each week.
4) Remember to stock up on items that go on sale and that can save for a long time in the fridge (avocados, carrots, bananas, frozen blueberries and green beans, St. Daflour Jam, Sweet Potatoes, Apples, etc.)
5) Some of these may seem expensive, but they typically last about 4+ meals such as Broccoli, Cauliflower, Tomatoes, Cabbage, Spinach, Cucumber, Green Beans, Eggs, Chicken, Onions, Peanut Butter, Jam, etc.

I hope this helps some of you! Please let me know if you have any questions ^___^.
